Recently, Miami based musician Bobby Ramirez and his band were invited to perform for Hitachi Data Systems, a multinational corporation which designs, manufactures and markets industry-standard mainframe computers, storage systems, open systems hardware and software. The gala event was held at the Ritz-Carlton in Key Biscayne, Florida. Guests were treated to a variety of music from Jazz and swing and smooth R&B grooves, to infectious Latin Jazz bossa nova Brazilian rhythms.

The band performed music from the repertoire of Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bill Evans and many other Jazz masters, as well as some contemporary smooth sounds of Gato Barbieri and others. Ramirez and his band also mixed Latin rhythms from Central/South America by performing music of Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil and Peru. As the band performed with passion, many guests took notice and started applauding between songs. Most of the guests were mingling with one another having a great time and enjoying the splendid ambiance with the cool ocean breeze.

Musician Bobby Ramirez is one of the most versatile entertainers in South Florida performing at all kinds of special events, weddings, corporate functions and conventions, as well as showcasing his superb musical skills at many music festivals throughout the year. Ramirez is also a talented vocalist performing songs in both Spanish and English singing the hits of Ricky Martin, KC & The Sunshine Band, Cool and the Gang, as well as Elvis Crespo, Los Hermanos Rosario, Projecto Uno, Oro Solido, El Gran Combo and many others.

Bobby's recent CD entitled "Ritmo Jazz Latino" features a variety of rhythms that include: authentic Cuban danzon, Jaropo, samba and bossa nova, tango, funk, Jazz Latino ballad, salsa, afro-Cuban Jazz and swing. On Ritmo Jazz Latino Bobby Ramirez brings his own unique voice of Jazz Latino fusion. An intense performer and improviser on the saxophone and flute, Ramirez holds a firm command of the jazz language drawing from a deep vocabulary of colorful sounds and rhythm. Ramirez can also be heard on two tracks on lead vocals, as well as some spontaneous jazzy scatting improvisation.
