Miami Jazz Heritage is a non-profit educational public service community outreach initiative founded by musician and writer Bobby Ramirez in 2009. Its primary focus is promoting Jazz in the community through calendar listings, CD reviews / interviews that feature primarily local Jazz artists; helping to accentuate the work of other local Jazz organizations, schools, universities and institutions, as well as bringing awareness to the Miami Jazz Museum.

South Florida Jazz Summit Calls for Planning Committee Volunteers

(2-27-2010) The South Florida Jazz Summit is calling for volunteers to be part of its creative planning committee for this historic event.

“There’s no doubt that SFJS is creating lots of buzz in the area; and its positive impact will be felt far and wide beyond South Florida,” Said Bobby Ramirez. “SFJS presents a unique opportunity for individuals to be part of the process that will make a significant artistic contribution to the preservation, promotion, education and advancement of Jazz, a unique American Artform.”

Since its inception in 1993, ArtServe has been dedicated to serving the needs of artists and nonprofit cultural organizations in Broward County. Through a series of programs aimed at strengthening and assisting them in their efforts, ArtServe has contributed to making South Florida a vibrant community for arts and culture.
