The Young Jazz Leaders Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to the best and brightest young high school and college level Jazz musicians with the goal of developing future leaders in the community, as well as empowering the next generation of Jazz musicians.

"Today we proudly bequeath and entrust the future of Jazz in the capable hands of South Florida's best and brightest Young Jazz Leaders!"

"Every young person has the potential to become a great leader. We are extremely interested in what the young generation has to say about Jazz; how they see it and experience it", said Bobby Ramirez, Founder and President of Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc (dba Jazzonian and South Florida Jazz Summit), a non-profit 501c3 charity organization. "Jazz has the potential to inspire success; defy the odds; look at every challenge as a possibility and opportunity to become exceptional."

"Our mission is to empower the next generation of Jazz musicians and young fans of this artform and give them the leadership skills they need to succeed; listen to their concerns and ideas; and let them know that they hold the key to the future of Jazz."

"These young people come from all walks of life and it is our desire that he/she become a productive part of society and realize his/her full potential--socially conscience, personal belief in one's ability to achieve success no matter what the background circumstances, high positive self esteem, a sense of altruistic to the community and helping others."
